「◆ 」 It was cold, sort of, he didn’t know. Adrian’s arms were wrapped around himself as he walked in the dark alley; he didn’t expect anyone to be around so he hummed softly for himself, not looking where he was stepping. Summer nights were nice and cool for him, a sigh of satisfaction left his lips— though this was a little creepy, who knew what was out there, in the night, waiting for its prey. A shiver ran down his spine and he chewed on his lower lip. “You’re safe, you really are." He muttered under his breath, green eyes widening.. everything has happend too quick for him to notice..
people running around. Then a gun. Eyes widened and he heard a loud noise. A gun. Someone was shooting and.. maybe Adrian was in danger, too. He hissed under his breath and did his best to hide somewhere: behind a car. All he could see were people- men gathered around someone and his brows furrowed.. They were all wearing black and they had weird guns. Silver, he mentally corrected himself, gluping down. This was bad, very bad. They were vampire hunters and he was in shit if they’d find him.. but maybe they did find someone. Maybe they hurt a vampire right now and Adrian was cowardly hiding behind a car. A soft noise of frustration left his lips and he had no idea how this happend but the guys started to run away.. okay, that was good but the actual question was now what could he do. If he got out, he’d be risking to be found again by these hunters, this situation was dangerous and not pleasant.
The vampire took in a deep breath, daring to look over the victim but he couldn’t see much, only him struggling up— then he just knelt down. Adrian only could imagine how much the silver hurt and it took him a lot of time to dare go out and help. It was a young boy and he was sure the other was a newborn.. yeah, possibly or totally, he yet had to find out. Seeing the younger male try to take the bullet out made Adrian sick in the stomach and sometimes he kept wondering how the heck could he even drink blood since the sight of it made him sick— not always, but in this current situation yes. And with a push he went to the other, chewing on his lower lip.
His steps were careful because the younger male maybe could attack him and heck, there were many possibilities. Red was everywhere and Adrian spotted those fingers try to pull the bullet out.. this was sick and wrong on so many levels, yet he reached out carefully, tipping the other’s face up. Adrian put on a straight face even though this was hard for him, too. He’d use Spirit later on but they had to pull the bullet out.
"Hey, hey. Hunters? Shh, shh.. stop, you’ll hurt yourself more. Let me help you." His voice and hands were trembling and he couldn’t really reassure the other that it’d be fine, he had no experience in how to even take bullets out but he wouldn’t let anyone suffer like this.
"Hunters, huh.. Can you walk? We’ll go over my apartment, I swear it’s not far, just.. just hold onto me, it’ll be fine.”
Pain. It continued to rack through his body and waves, left his fingers trembling as his head fell back against chilled tile. It seemed futile, all of t seemed so futile and for a moment he actually considered just remaining there, on the ground, waiting for them to find him again and finish the job off. Or wait until sunrise and let himself be charred to death. Seemed better than having to pull through hell on his own. It was either that… or perhaps go look for Jongjin and ask him for help. But he had no idea where to find him anymore. Fucking disgusting nature. He hissed at himself, internally more than anything however grimacing at his own thoughts. Because he had started to doubt his own choices, doubting that he belonged here. He had left an entire life behind to start a new one and now he began to believe he didn’t fit in with his new choices either. It was a bit of a painful realization. Because it meant he wouldn’t have had to lose his family, hadn’t he made this idiotic choice.
But it was only momentarily, it always was. If he did survive this, he’d wake up the next day and feel comfortable again. He knew it well and supposedly, that was what kept him going. So, as his fingers continued to press into the wound, to burn themselves on the heat of pulsating silver, his gaze almost grew frantic. Struggling with something like this was entirely new to him, it had never occurred before. Though what really bothered him wasn’t the bullet, not the pain and not what had happened. But that the hunters had recognized him. Because they had hesitated and so had he, and it had led to injuries on both sides. He was far too occupied with his own thoughts to take notion of the one approaching, at least until his chin was grasped and tilted upwards.
At first he was only milliseconds away from hissing and swat the hand aside, until realizing he was faced with another vampire and his shoulders slumped. There was always fear, rooted in his chest, not only for himself but also fear for the creatures he knew he shared his new heritage with. It made him recoil, silent as pressing further up against the wall. “ Leave me alone. ” He muttered, turning away from the other. His fingers faltered however, stopped prodding against silver and flesh. The ache was numbing his entire shoulder by now and it was as if things began to slip. And perhaps, it was the only reason to why he actually dared to seek the other vampire’s gaze again.
Hunters.
Had he perhaps seen them? Maybe it was the reason to why he was offering Angel his help? He assumed so. Assumed his intentions weren’t bad. It was either accepting help or staying here, to become ashes in the morning because he’d fail to protect himself. Option number one suddenly seemed so much more attractive, because in all honest… Angel wasn’t ready to die just yet. Literally. “ I an walk. I think. ” He then rasped, lips pressing into a thin line afterwards as he used the brick wall to brace himself a bit, as rising to his feet. His legs were a bit wobbly and his vision was blurred but he’d be fine in a moment or two. Instinctively he grasped for the other vampire’s shoulder, to voice caving back down to the asphalt, squeezing his eyes shut.
“ Fuck, it hurts. ”
