It was entertaining, amusing to chase Hoseok like this. Very rarely did he get to enjoy a good hunt. Humans fell too easily to his charming smile and smooth voice. But the halfling put up a fight every time Jinki went after him. The vampire wouldn’t admit it, but he didn’t really mind letting him walk back home every night, just to keep playing their little game.
He stopped just as the boy halted in front of him, not a blond hair out of place. His red eyes bore into Hoseok’s as the child shook his fingers from his shirt. “Away from me?” The elder raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow and took a step closer just as the other tried to step back. “With me.”
Jinki reached out and grabbed Hoseok’s arms, tugging him in close to his chest. Cold lips almost grazed over the boy’s warm cheek as the vampire leaned in to whisper into his ear. “When are you going to learn you can’t get away from me?” The elder shook Hoseok, not bothering to be gentle with the halfling. “I’ll always catch you.”
A moment passed, a moment where Hoseok’s eyes lingered by Jinki’s and he knew he wasn’t scared. Not even for a second. He had never feared any vampire for as long as he had been alive and breathing. Because as far as he had been told, his scent wasn’t very attractive to them. So worrying about being drained wasn’t anything he really concerned himself with. Neither did he bother about strength or speed, since it matched his own most of the time. Sight and hearing too, to some extent.
So he doesn’t falter when eyes bore into his own, when the elder raised an eyebrow at his statement. Hoseok just smirked, the curl of his lips colored by mischief and playfulness, like always as he gave a subtle nod of his head. He liked this game, a little too much to be honest. But he hadn’t had this much fun — this much excitement, for years. "With you?“ He questioned then, a mere moment later, huffing in amusement to bite back his own laughter.
His gaze grew intense when his arm was grabbed, when he was pulled close and anticipation almost made his blood boil. The hair decorating his nape bristles when lips almost graze over his skin, the way he’s shaken not serving to bother him in the least. he’s not as fragile as a human would be, thus not far too affected by something so simple. ” Never. “ He chuckled, his childlike mannerisms as present as always, smirk growing smug as he leaned forward in return, to deliver his own little breathy whisper. ” You’ll have to do a better job, teaching me that. “
