He sighed softly and placed the ring on the pillow, sitting on the edge of the bed. His fingers stung with the burns of touching the silver, but he ignored it. They hurt less than the ache in his chest. Luhan flopped back into the mattress, staring up at the ceiling. “I miss you…”
A small sigh passed chapped lips as footsteps led him through the lobby of his own, luxurious apartment complex. He owned the building and always made sure everything within sight was flawless. Leon had tenants to please after all. But there was a slight bout of anxiety, bubbling away in his chest as approaching the front door of his own apartment, occupying the two top floors of the building. Had he been alive he would have swore he felt his heart flutter. Though he knew it was merely his imagination this time. He exhaled slowly, shut his eyes as he turned the key in the lock, pushing the piece of wood and metal open with its usual silent creak. Luhan’s scent was strong, and Leon could locate him after only a mere few seconds. It made him smile, in the midst of lingering nervousness. He didn’t dwell for long, slipping out of coat and shoes prior to making his way towards their shared bedroom, soundless as his feet graced wooden flooring. He stopped in the doorway, leaned against the frame with the smallest of smiles. He had indeed caught the shifter’s words and they made him ache. “ I miss you too. ” He then uttered softly before stepping into the room properly, seating himself on the bedside, just millimeters away from the other male.
