He breathed in Leon’s scent, letting it was over his senses. It was comforting, like always. It’s why it always was hard when the elder was away. They’d been by each other’s sides for so long, it was as if part of Luhan was missing whenever the vampire was not around.
When the arm draped over his back, the shifter smiled against the other’s stomach. The cold weight was familiar, and he didn’t mind it one bit. “You could have called and told me you would be gone,” he purred contentedly as fingers slipped through his hair. A small frown settled over his features and he pulled back to look up at Leon. “Why wouldn’t I have been here?” Luhan pressed closer, practically climbing onto Leon’s lap.
There was a moment of silence, then and there, that Leon came to treasure even more than expected. Merely because he had the chance to listen in on Luhan’s sweet heartbeats, the way he breathed against layers of clothing. It was a symphony he had never grown tired of, never would grow tired of either. It was, simple and pure happiness in its greatest form in Leon’s own opinion.
“I know I could have, I should have but I barely had any time to get away.” He explained silently as he continued to drag his fingers through the younger male’s hair. The counter-question almost had him baffled albeit knowing it was to be expected and the smile that decorated his features grew melancholic in an instant, as it felt like his entire body was embedded with thick ice. “ Because I have been very cruel to you, in the past. ” He mumbled, when the shifter had climbed onto his lap and Leon himself had wrapped his arms so tightly around his waist that they remained to be pressed together.
