Name:  Maksimilian Aleksandr Desya Mihailov

Face: Kim Jaejoong (JYJ)

Nickname(s): Max, Casimir (former name)

Age: 3548

Birth date: May 12, 1535 BC

Species: pure-blood vampire . Like all purebloods, he is enticingly beautiful, with pale skin and vibrant eyes. He has enhanced speed, strength, senses, agility and healing. He can also teleport, manipulate fire (as opposed to his twin’s ability to manipulate ice), and his blood has healing properties (his blood is also extremely addictive; one taste and the drinker becomes hooked).

Like his twin, he can also shapeshift. This is a power the twins inherited from their father, but unlike Aleksei who shifts into a great (ugly) bird, Maksimilian’s form is a little more graceful. His form is a barn owl that is a little larger than a real one.

Hair: pale blond, cut short, but long enough to fall into his eyes.

Eyes: vibrant blue

Height: 180cm

Weight: 63kg

Sexuality: Gay / single

Education: he was raised by the finest tutors in Russia, and with the extra years from the spirit, Maksimilian has no need for conventional means of education

Occupation: Mercenary, CEO of Casi-Pharma (a worldwide pharmaceuticals company employing the use of vampire blood to synthesize cures for most diseases)

Personality: He was virtually the opposite of his twin. Where Aleksei was cruel, and lacked empathy and only thought of himself, Maksimilian was caring. He was the ideal prince. He had the empathy that Aleksei could never show. He had the wisdom and the strength to do what was needed, but to never sacrifice human life for his needs.

And then Aleksei killed him.

When he was resurrected, however, he lost that gentleness that his parents loved deeply. He was no longer the caring, kind ideal prince that the people loved and respected. No longer the exact opposite to his younger brother. Instead, his heart had been hardened, frozen by the events that led to his death and resurrection.

Now he’s filled with anger. Contempt. He’s everything his brother had been for much of their youth together. The only difference is, Maksimilian isn’t going to let some simpering little human change his way of living – and if he has to take Dmitriy out of the picture to get to his brother… so be it.

Background: Born 1535 BC five minutes before his twin brother Aleksei, Maksimilian would grow up to be a loving son, and a caring prince to those who lived in their kingdom. He had no idea that his being born first would cause a rift years later between two brothers who had always been close. As the two boys developed, it was easy to see that Maksimilian was the more stable of the two. He loved the pets given to him, cared for them deeply… whereas Aleksei tortured his, killing them because he could.

As they grew older, and Maksimilian’s duties led him away from Aleksei’s side, he failed to see the anger and pure hatred that festered in his brother’s heart. It took years, nearly five hundred, for Maksimilian to finally see what the distance and the seclusion was doing to his brother, but by then it was too late. Aleksei ripped Maksimilian’s heart from his chest before he could even think to stop him.

Although his body was hung for all to see, his spirit was sucked into the family heirloom around his neck – a brilliant sapphire jewel in a setting of white gold. It had been in the family for generations, leading back to the very first Mihailov vampire- whose acquaintances were some of the very first and more powerful witches. A charm had been cast on the crystal, protecting the wearer from being truly destroyed. It took years, however, for the charm to activate…

Until his body was raided, the charm removed (and then the grave covered back over), by a coven of witches descended from she who had cast the charm. Upset with the way their land had been ravaged, the witches returned Maksimilian’s soul to his desiccating body. With the pendant around his neck, death would not come to him again quite so easily.

It took Maksimilian a long time to return to the land of the living, but by the time he did… the witches realized the beloved, gentle Maksimilian of old would never return to them. He killed them out of hunger, draining them dry before his senses returned to him. Escaping into the night, he was found by the coven’s leader and given recounts of the past few hundred years.

Learning that his brother had killed him and become the king, Maksimilian swore he’d find his brother, perhaps even make him feel what it’s like to have his heart ripped out by someone he cared for.

The charm on the sapphire has left his eyes a startling pale blue, vibrant and glowing.
